Bangalore, Business, Books and Beans?! (5 Things I’m Loving This Spring)
Apr 04, 2026
Phew!
I've spent the last few days shooting around Bangalore on the back of a rickshaw, recording with my social media team. I'm pretty used to it now, but when I first got here, the sights, the sounds -- everything felt completely wild. And honestly the things that happen on the roads here are crazy from an American drivers perspective😂.
My clients get to see it in real time on Marco Polo…

I’m documenting everything on my Instagram...
And I need some down time to decompress.
So, this is going to be a shorter newsletter than usual. Instead of walking you through deep transformative frameworks (like the one last week), I thought I'd share something a little different.
Five quick things I genuinely love -- that are genuinely worth your time.
(By the way, none of these are affiliate links. They’re all things I’m simply excited to share with you.)
Scroll on to find out more…
Wearing: Janessa Leoné Sherman Hat

If you've seen any of my reels lately, you'll easily recognize this stunning fedora. It's so beautifully crafted, not cheap but super gorgeous, made with "packable straw” that pings back into life, even after a few hours scrunched in your suitcase.
We all know we should put on a hat when the sun comes out -- and I’m honestly obsessed with her hats! I bought this exact one to wear in the Himalayas, and I’ve been wearing it almost every day since.
Drinking: Classic Ayurvedic Detox Tea

I first shared this with my audience back in 2024, but it's worth repeating. Spring is the perfect time for detoxifying, and this herbal tea helps the body cleanse the lymphatic system and heal the gut lining.
Ayurveda believes warm to hot temperatures open the channels of your body, and the herbs stimulate a deep cleansing effect.
Perfect to sip while you're reading this newsletter. ;)
Eating: Mung Bean Soup

This is one of my foundational recipes and something I come back to again and again to help reset my body. Mung beans are used in Ayurveda to balance all three doshas and eliminate toxins. They're considered one of the most therapeutic and easily digestible beans, support the cleansing of the heart and vascular system and reduce toxicity in the body.
Over here in India, you might see them in the treatment of food poisoning, dysentery, diarrhea, heat stroke, edema, high blood pressure, acidosis, and gastro-intestinal ulcers… but you don't have to be suffering from any of those things to feel the benefits. They can support inflamed skin conditions, summer heat, restlessness, and even impatience (!)
Tiny little superheroes right?! I live to make a bowl and enjoy alone or with some beautiful veggies and rice. They have genuinely healed my gut and allowed me to recover my digestive system multiple times.
You can download the recipe (and watch me make it!) here.
Reading: Goddesses in Everywoman - Jean Shinoda Bolen M.D.

This stunning read literally changed my life. Jean Shinoda Bolen is a Jungian analyst, and her book sets out to help us understand the deep, deep truth behind Greek myths -- and how these fundamental archetypes influence the behavior and choices every woman makes.
Not only did it change the way I see myself and every woman around me (my mother, sister, friends and clients), it helped me see my own patterns, lean into my Goddess qualities and free myself from limitations.
In fact, it’s so transformative, I’m using it to inform Blossoming Lotus, the women's program I plan to release later this year.

Listening: Aspire with Emma Grede

From ancient Goddesses to a modern-day one… I love the fire and fierce feminine spirit of Emma Grede. ;)
Born in London, raised by a single mother, Emma went on to be founding partner of Skims, and a huge philanthropist. I find this podcast super aspiring, and inspiring.
If you’re not sure where to begin, the episode with her husband Jens Grede is particularly brilliant. I really enjoyed seeing them share their principles of success, how much they care for each other and how she clearly admires him.
The Very Real Thread That Ties All This Together?
However long we’ve known each other (whether you’re a newsletter regular, or an algorithm just has brought us together) 💛 there’s something I’d love to underline here for you…
And yes it has everything to do with --
Color, life and energy in Bangalore…
Resetting my system with Ayurvedic tea or nourishing soup…
Leaning into ancient myths, or wisdom from the East…
AND --
Getting ready to pack up my life, roll up my hat…
And learn from the best, most visionary entrepreneurs in the West.
You see, the wisest traditions in the East have always known that to fulfil our truest potential the mind, body, and system must evolve as one.
And that's exactly what my work does.
It integrates Eastern wisdom with Western modalities, to help everyone I work with deeply nourish and flourish.
So, whether you’re celebrating a long Easter weekend -- or just need a little spring renewal -- enjoy!
Take a little time to tend to yourself as carefully as you tend to your business, your clients or your customers. Because the most powerful thing you can do is create a life that’s alive, healthy, and connected…
And a you who knows how to make life worth living.
Love and Blessings, 🙏🏻💛🪷
